QUEEN'S COLLEGE 158th REUNION AND FOUNDATION WEEKEND PROGRAMME

THURSDAY 14 TO SUNDAY 17 APRIL 2016

  

You are cordially invited to attend the 158th Anniversary of our school over this weekend and are encouraged to take part in the various activities.

Arrival of the "Ride the 1965 Ride” cyclists and the "Walk the Walk” walkers at the Recreation Ground at 13:00


NATIONAL EXECUTIVE OF THE QCOBA MEETING at 17:30 in the Natal Room


Queen’s College Soirée in the Little Theatre at 19:00 – adults only


Tickets available from Mrs Chellew at the school R30,00 per person including cheese and wine

COMBINED REUNION ASSEMBLY at 08:30 in the Memorial Hall


QCJ Headmaster Mr Richard Second and 2006 HeadboyMr Lisle Clark delivering addresses


TEA in the Queen’s Hall and Old School Quad immediately thereafter 


QUEEN’S COLLEGE CADET DETACHMENT NO 3 TROOPING THE COLOUR PARADE   

on the Queen’s College Victoria Recreation Ground at 11:00  
  

FRIDAY MORNING / AFTERNOON:  From 13:00 onwards - various activities of a sporting and cultural nature against traditional rivals Selborne College (Squash / Chess / Debating / Hockey) 


QCOBA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING at 12:00 for 12:30 – Staffroom, Old School Quad
  

QUEEN’S BARBARIANS RUGBY at 16:00 on the Recreation Ground
  

QCOBA PRESIDENT'S BANQUET scheduled at 18:30 for 19:00 in the Queen’s Junior Hall   



                                                    SATURDAY 16 APRIL 2016
  

All day sport against Selborne College (Cross Country / Hockey / Rugby)

The QC Junior Tuckshop will operate during the morning session. 

 

   The Tuckshop at the "Rec" will operate during the full programme involving teams at the


Queen’s College Victoria Recreation Grounds and Chris Harker Astro.

Light lunches will be served for Old Boys in the Cullinan Pavilion after the last morning match until 13:30
  

Rec entrance:  R10,00 per person and an extra R10,00 for a grandstand seat
  

3rd XV kickoff – 12:40


2nd XV kickoff – 13:50


Skydivers and Warcry 15:00


1st XV kickoff – 15:30
  

POST MATCH FUNCTION hosted by the Mother Branch of the QCOBA: 


Light meals available, bar, music and dancing will be in The Marquee on the Rec

  

                                                     SUNDAY 17APRIL 2016
  

FOUNDATION DAY COMMEMORATION SERVICE takes place at 09:30 in the DC Scott Amphitheatre


(It is COMPULSORY for all Queenians to attend this service – it is an official School function).


Thereafter tea will be served in the Queen’s Hall and Old School Quad

An INFORMATION CENTRE will operate at the QCOBA Office in the Old School Quad on Thursday 14 April and Friday 15 April between 08:00 – 15:30, and Saturday 16 April between 09:00 – 13:00.
